It is important to note that when painting vinyl siding, do not use a color darker than the original siding to avoid warping.

For surface preparation, ensure to remove dirt, mildew, grease, wax, soap residue, loose, and peeling paint. Glossy areas should be sanded to dull them. Prime all bare, new wood and factory-primed wood with an oil-based primer, while masonry surfaces, including cementitious siding, should be primed with a latex primer.

Before application, stir or mix the paint and intermix all containers for color uniformity. Apply with a high-quality brush, roller, or pad painter, and thin with water if needed for spraying. Avoid overspreading and ensure the temperature is above 50°F (10°C). On average, coverage is 400 sq. ft. (37 square meters) per gallon (3.78 L). For optimal results, apply two coats of paint on new surfaces after priming. Do not use indoors.

The paint dries in 1 to 2 hours, but it is recommended to allow overnight drying before applying another coat. Clean up with warm water and soap. The semi-gloss finish provided by Prestige Paints is more reflective than satin but less shiny than gloss, giving walls a bright appearance. The glossy effect works best with off-whites and lighter shades, enhancing their brightness. Semi-gloss finishes are ideal for high-humidity areas as they are easy to clean compared to other finishes, although they may highlight imperfections on the wall.
