Surface preparation is key to achieving the best results with this paint. All loose paint should be removed, and the surface should be cleaned with detergent to remove dirt, grease, and other contaminants. Scuff sand glossy surfaces and repair any imperfections. New plaster must be properly cured, cracks and holes should be patched, and the surface should be primed with this product. New woods may require an oil-based primer/sealer, while proper rust primer should be used on metal surfaces.

Before application, the paint should be stirred or mixed thoroughly, and all containers should be intermixed for color uniformity. It can be applied with a high-quality applicator such as a 3/8-inch nap roller cover, brush, or pad painter. If necessary, the paint can be thinned sparingly with water for spraying. The average coverage is 250-400 sq. ft. per gallon, and it dries in one hour. Recoating can be done after four hours, and gentle cleaning with a non-abrasive cleaner is possible after 14 days.

Cleanup is easy with warm water and soap. The flat finish provides a smooth, uniform look, making it ideal for formal rooms like living rooms and dining rooms. Flat finishes are known for hiding surface imperfections and are a great choice for ceilings. They often require fewer coats than semi-gloss or gloss paints, making them easier to touch up.
