Usage Guidelines

BEFORE YOU START

1. Always conduct a test on a small, inconspicuous area of about 4 sq. ft. to confirm that the desired outcome is achieved.

2. Pressure Washing: Prior to commencing the sealing process, pressure wash the designated area to ensure that the surfaces are thoroughly clean and free of any oil, efflorescence, laitance, or contaminants. Remove at least 1 to 2 inches of the old joint sand to make way for new coarse sand between the paver joints.

3. Rinsing: Thoroughly rinse the pavers with water. If any acids or cleaners were used during the cleaning process, ensure that they are completely rinsed off before applying the sealer.

HOW TO USE

STEP 1: LIGHTLY SHAKE IT

Before using, gently shake the product to ensure maximum effectiveness.

STEP 2: APPLY EVENLY AND SPARINGLY

Apply a thin, even layer of sealer onto the surface. Allow each layer to dry completely before applying the next one. The recoat time may vary depending on the thickness of the layer, typically between 30-60 minutes. For optimal results, it is recommended to apply two layers to enhance the desired effect. Please note that drying time is influenced by temperature, humidity, and coating thickness, based on conditions of 68°F and 55% humidity. Avoid applying the coating too thickly to prevent excessive flow or pooling on the surface, especially with the initial layer. Using a roller for application is recommended.

Tips: If using a sprayer, mix water and sealer in a 0.5:1 ratio by volume. Dilution is not necessary when using brushes, rollers, or other application tools. For a uniform thickness, back roll the sealer if sprayed on. You may apply additional coats (up to 3) for added sheen and durability. To prevent blotching, ensure the sealer is applied evenly using a roller for consistent results.

STEP 3: DRYING TIME

The sealer will dry to the touch within 0.5-1 hour. Allow the first coat to dry for 3-4 hours before deciding if a second coat is necessary.

APPLICATION CONDITIONS

• The surface must be clean, dry, and warm to the touch. • Temperature should range between 50°F and 85°F during application and for the subsequent 24 hours. • No rain should be expected within the next 24 hours. • Use a uniform application method across the entire surface. • Not suitable for polished stone or tile.
