Premium Stone Sealer Description

StoneprotecT SP5000 is a concrete and stone sealer designed for all types of absorbent stones. Unlike traditional polymer or siloxane-based sealers, SP5000 utilizes a 2 Phase depth technology that penetrates deep into the open-pored stone capillaries to create a protective structure. This results in a long-lasting lotus effect on and within the stone, reducing dirt penetration and allowing for easier surface cleaning. With Stoneprotect 2-phase long-term technology, treated surfaces can maintain a clean appearance for years.

This water-based formulation does not alter the external appearance of the surface and retains its effectiveness within the stone even as the visible effects wear off over time. If desired, the visible effect can be quickly refreshed. StoneprotecT SP5000 reduces water penetration on absorbent substrates, significantly reducing soiling. For optimal results, we recommend refreshing the sealer at least once a year.

The coverage of StoneprotecT SP5000 varies depending on the type of stone, absorbency, and surface structure, with one liter covering approximately 80 to 120 sq ft of concrete stone. Resealing a surface with SP5000 is possible at any time to maintain its protective properties, even if the visible effect diminishes.

By applying StoneprotecT SP5000, stones can maintain their quality appearance for an extended period. The surface becomes water repellent, reducing moisture penetration and making cleaning easier. Drying within minutes, the surface can be walked on immediately and reapplied within seconds. Drying time typically ranges from 30 to 45 minutes at an ambient temperature of 60°F (15°C).

Can StoneprotecT be applied over an existing sealer? Yes, if the previous sealing was done with StoneprotecT. Third-party sealants must be completely removed before applying SP5000 to ensure proper bonding.

Does StoneprotecT prevent staining of the stone surface? The nanotechnology in StoneprotecT SP5000 creates a lotus effect, making dirt removal easier and protecting stones from accumulating dust and dirt for months or even years.

Can the sealant be applied to facades? Yes, SP5000 can be applied to open-pored, absorbent facade surfaces, including plaster facades.

Does the sealant remove green film and moss? SP5000 is not an algaecide and does not remove green deposits. Pre-treatment with an anti-green algae product is recommended before applying SP5000.

How should StoneprotecT be stored? Store SP5000 in a cool, frost-free place, tightly closed, for up to two years. Shake well before use.

To ensure optimal bonding, surfaces must be free of old sealants, grease, dust, and dirt before application. Make sure the surface is completely dry.

Apply SP5000 using a roller, brush, or sprayer on a clean, dry surface. Excess liquid should be removed before the 30-45 minute drying period at 60°F.

After drying, the surface can be tested by placing water drops on the sealed area. Reapply if needed to enhance the lotus effect.
